Planning for Iraq
December 10, 2006 on 10:13 am | In Uncategorized |Remember the Watergate tapes? The recordings of presidential conversations in the Oval Office that helped force Nixon’s resignation? Well some tapes have surfaced of the way Dubya planned the invasion of Iraq. Here’s a sample:
Rumsfeld: We need a plan that works and a plan that doesn’t work.
Bush: Why do we need a plan that doesn’t work?
Rumsfeld: So we can tell which plan to use.
Bush: If we only have one plan, there won’t be any confusion.
Rumsfeld: Too risky. It mightn’t be the one that works. This way one of them will work …
